World Journal of Psychiatry



The WJP is a peer reviewed, open-access journal. The primary task of WJP is to rapidly publish high-quality original articles, reviews, editorials, and case reports in the field of psychiatry. In order to promote productive academic communication, the peer review process for the WJP is transparent; to this end, all published manuscripts are accompanied by the anonymized reviewers’ comments as well as the authors’ responses. The primary aims of the WJP are to improve diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive modalities and the skills of clinicians and to guide clinical practice in psychiatry.

Subjects covered include: Adolescent Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry, Community Psychiatry, Ethnopsychology, Forensic Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Military Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Orthopsychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychosomatic Medicine.

This month Staff Publications Online hit a new milestone: Papers made available through the Open Access Repository have been downloaded over 100,000 times.

Most content is downloaded in the UK, other parts of Western Europe and North America but papers have been downloaded in many other countries including Russia, China, the Latin American countries and African states.
